The work of the VCDS is evaluated on a regular basis both internally and externally. The internal evaluation takes place monthly in each project, and at the end of each year the VCDS has an annual evaluation to assess the performance.

External evaluation is carried out by funding agencies after the project agreement period. They acquire information from the staff as well as directly from the target group and check the accounts and documentation of the VCDS.

Every five years the VCDS evaluates the range of the target groups and working methods to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the organisation. Also the achievements are assessed at this point.
